newHickLogoThank you to Kenneth Arnold, Class of 1965, for contacting us. Although the biography was hidden on the website, we thought our readers would like to read about The Dynamics, so we are featuring it here this month. We have a new article from Dr. Kumpikas and a new addition to Ron Wencer's Ancient Hixtory: an article about Leon Galloway! The Hicksville Gregory Museum is in financial distress. Thank you to Ryan Vicino for the article and information about how you can help.  We are happy our readers are using the Member Comments, and they appear at the end of this month's newsletter.  When you are logged into the site, scroll to the bottom of an article and leave us a comment! I enjoy reading the newsletter about the "good old days" in Hicksville. I found out about HixNews when Norman Reid (class of 63) sent the link to me.

After graduating from HHS, I attended Nassau Community College and than continued on to Morehead State University in Kentucky. In the late sixties, I started teaching Physical Education in a Catholic school in Hicksville. Then, in 1973, I joined the Nassau County Police Department and did thirty years and retired in 2003. I've been retired for nine years now and enjoying every moment of it.

Presently, I live in Freeport, N.Y. and have been here since 1977. My wife, Patricia and I have been married since 1974 and have raised two daughters, Kimberly, who is a hair dresser and Kathleen who is a school teacher in the NYC school system. I also have two Grandsons, 2 and 4 who live close by and take up most of our time.

I've lost contact with a lot of my friends back in Hicksville, but the newsletter helps bring back the memories. Keep up the good work.
