After graduation from Hicksville High, I attended Nassau Community College. I graduated in 1967 and became a Registered Nurse (RN). I then received a BS in nursing from Stony Brook in 1972. I married Guy Schwarting in 1970 and together we raised five children in Morganton, NC. Unfortunately, my husband passed away in 2010. I have two granddaughters ages 11 and 9 months. I retired after 47 years of nursing in May of 2014. I'm looking forward to attending our Fifty Year Reunion in September.
